Blooming Gerbera from Susan’s Garden

October 6, 2017

Hello Friends

Autumn is finally here and the leaves are turning to shades of orange and red. I love the fiery colours, so vibrant and beautiful.

The Susan’s Garden collection has many flowers that bring the essence of fall to my table. One such flower is the Gerbera Daisy.

My card today features these delightful daisies. Can you feel fall  here, too?

Step 1 – Create a side-fold card base from kraft brown cardstock.

  • Add a darker brown cardstock rectangle slightly smaller than the card front and a piece of patterned paper slightly smaller than the brown panel.

Step 2 – Wrap a piece of lace-edged burlap around the card front to add a rustic feel.

Step 3 – Create three different sized tags using brown cardstock and coordinating patterned paper. Punch a hole in the top of each tag and add twine tied in a bow.

  • Add the two larger tags to the card, referring to photo above for placement.

Step 4 – Using the Gerbera Daisy die set and White Soft Finish Cardstock, cut enough pieces to create two daisies, two stems, and five or six leaves. Color with Copic markers, shape and assemble the flowers and add to the tags as shown.

  • Color stems and leaves. Shape the leaves, adhere to the card front as shown.

Step 5 – Die cut Ivy Vine from White Soft Finish Cardstock, color and shape; adhere to card.

  • Using Kids Choice Glue, add clusters of Prills along the Ivy Vine.

Step 6 – Using black ink, stamp ‘Grow happiness’ from the Plant, Grow and Bloom Clear Stamp set onto the remaining tag and adhere to card.
