Krista Schneider Soft Finish Cardstock

Stone Wall Scene With Deer

August 7, 2017

Hello Friends,

Melanie here with you today sharing this adorable little scene I created using a variety of Elizabeth Craft Designs’ products.

Here is how I created my card:

Step 1 – Sponge clouds onto the upper portion of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock using blue ink with the Behind the Scenes – Earth & Sky Stencil.

  • Sponge various shades of green ink onto the lower portion of the card for the grass.

Step 2 – Using the Susan’s Garden Country Scapes – New England Stone Wall & Gate,  die cut the gate and solid wall from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the solid wall using a grey distress ink to create the look of mortar.

  • Add some Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape to the back of a piece of  White Soft Finish Cardstock, randomly sponge color onto the cardstock using several distress inks. Die cut the stones from this piece and add them to the solid wall. Refer to the photo below. (Note – Using several inks makes the small pieces look like natural stones.)

Step 3 – Stamp the deer, owl and mushrooms from the  Birch Forest Clear Stamp set. Die cut with the coordinating dies. Color as desired.

  • Add images to card using foam tape.

Step 4 – Adhere panel onto a brown top-fold card base.
