A Way With Words Silk Microfine Glitter

“Just for You” Fancy Frame Card

August 26, 2017

Hello crafty Friends!  Kathy Jo here sharing a fancy frame card using three of Suzanne Cannon’s soon-to-be-released die sets.  Oh, you will love her new die collection! Gorgeous!

The card is fun to make and you will find that once you make one, you will want to do another.

Instructions:

  1. Emboss wood grain paper using Flourished Frame die.  Fussy cut outside of frame.  Emboss white cardstock using Flourished Frame die and fussy cut.  Mount wood grain frame onto white frame.  Create top fold card – back view shown below.
  2. Die cut Flourished Frame from light yellow cardstock.  Mount to card front using liquid adhesive.  Die cut butterfly (from Butterfly Flourish die set).  Apply red dye ink to butterfly wings, shading from dark at the outer edges to light toward the body. Use liquid adhesive on top of the butterfly’s body and sprinkle with Basic Black Silk Microfine Glitter. When dry, brush off excess.  Add small gems to butterfly wings. Use liquid adhesive to mount butterfly (body only!) to card front at an angle as shown, bending wings upward for dimension.
  3. Apply Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheet on top of thin white craft foam. Adhere lightweight yellow paper or cardstock on top. Die cut using Just For You die set.  Apply red dye ink to letters.  Adhere to card front. Alternatively: Die cut red cardstock two or three times. Glue words on top of each other for dimension.

Isn’t it lovely?  I adore the frame shape and the beautiful calligraphy.  And it all looks great on the wood grain paper.

If you don’t show a good picture of your card,
what you write isn’t helpful enough. I just delete
your posts because I can’t use them.
