Soft Finish Cardstock Susan's Garden Club

Celebration with Susan’s Garden Tuberous Begonia

August 30, 2017

Hello Dear Friends,

Celebration is not a specific human phenomenon. The fluttering birds, the dancing leaves, the sprinkling droplets of water, the dance of the animals, the roar of clouds, even the inconsequential insects find reasons to celebrate. God has however, given us, humans, a much larger proportion of reasons to rejoice our existence, our civilized bondings, our togetherness and our victories.

In the urban changing lifestyles fraught with stress and pressures, we should find every reason to get together with our loved ones and celebrate our special moments and our smallest of victories. My creation today is a thematic card dedicated to the spirit of celebrations on each such small occasion. Let’s all ease out our burdens and strains and join our loved ones for such celebrations… Cheers!!!!

Here’s the process of creating this card:

Step 1 – Cut a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock to  8.5″x7″ and fold it to create a 4.25″x7″ side fold card.

Step 2 – Take a piece of True Green Soft Finish Cardstock and adhere it on the card base.

Step 3 – Using a piece of watercolor paper, sprinkle on some Lindy’s Magicals, spray with water to dcreate a beautiful background.

Step 4 – Die cut the Garden Notes Ivy Vine leaves. Add to the card along with some strings of hay.

Step 5 – Create three Begonia flowers using the Garden Notes Tuberous Begonia die set. To make these flowers take White Soft Finish Cardstock and colour them with rose madder archival  ink then shape them using the all metal tool set,  assemble the petals using kids choice glue ( I would recommend all flower artists to use this glue) and arrange them as shown in the photo above. Die cut leaves and add to card around the begonias.

Step 6 – Adhere sequins randomly around the card

Step 7 –  Using  the sentiment “Celebrate every victory, no matter how small” from the Little Words That Mean A Lot Clear Stamp set, stamp onto White Soft Finish Cardstock using black ink. Cut into a rectangle shape and layer to a piece of True Green Soft Finish Cardstock. Adhere to the top left side  of the card using foam tape.

I hope you will love this card and the pocess of creating them too.

Have A Nice day!!!

Absolutely GORGEOUS! Love the colors chosen. Love the ‘straw’! Really, were you out in the field collecting bits of straw? Well it is really effective! And the sequins set the whole celebration event! Do you make your own envelope for mailing?
Also, just have to add, your introduction was spot on! I hope you keep designing for Eliz. Crafts! Love your work!
