Hello to you all. It’s Anita here and I am super excited to share a card making technique with you that will help you make amazing backgrounds for your projects. I have used the beautiful flowers from the Spring Bloom set. For my card I have used tal and other shades of blue teal for the flowers and background, plus metallic gold for the butterflies, borders, and outlines.
Here are the steps to make this card:
Step 1 – Apply Evergreen Bough Distress Ink to a 4.75 ” x 6.75″ piece of white cardstock.
Step 2 – Repeatedly stamp the flower image all over the card using VersaMark ink; cover ink with gold embossing powder and heat set.
Step 3 – Spray water from a distance and heat set with the heat tool to get the dappled, splattered effect.
Step 4 – Layer the decorated panel to a slightly larger piece of black cardstock and then onto a folded gold card base.
Step 5 – Stamp sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock using VersaMark ink and white embossing powder. Layer the black cardstock onto a wider vellum layer and adhere close to the bottom of the card.
Step 6 – Create a rectangle frame using the Fitted Rectangles and gold cardstock. Adhere to card so that it frames the sentiment.
Step 7 -Die cut two butterflies from gold cardstock using the Dancing Butterflies die set. Add some golden threads to the card and then adhere the butterflies on top of the threads.
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day.
