Mother’s Day Pot of Flowers

April 19, 2017

Hello crafty friends, it’s Summer Hills-Painter here.

Today I want to share with you an easy Mother’s Day card using the Flower Pot Pop Stand die.  Let me show you how I made it.

Instructions:

  1. Using the Flower Pot Pop Stand die set, cut and shape 5 sets of flowers and five 5-leaf pieces. (Add Prills to the flower centers.) Also cut the flower pot and coordinating pieces 1 time. Trim the flower pot so that it is only one pot, saving the other for another card. Using the Anita Frames dies set, cut a 2-layer panel for the sentiment and stamp ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ on the smaller one. Add color and shade with the Distress Inks. Also cut a patterned paper layer measuring 6.5″ x 4.5″ and make a 5 “x 7” side-fold card base.

  1. Adhere the flower pot and sentiment to the card.

  1. Adhere the leaves and flowers, and your card is complete.  Optional: Add a touch of extra sparkle with a shimmer pen as shown.

Question: Did you use white paper for the flowers and then ink them or is that a particular paper that looks like that? I love what you have done and would like to try it myself.

I used different shades of light colored paper then inked with Distress Inks.
