Els van de Burgt Studio Joset Designs Soft Finish Cardstock

Thank You

October 20, 2016

Good Morning Everyone! It’s Tina here today for Susan’s Garden Club. My card was inspired by a wonderful couple who treated us like family. They heard about my card making and had seen pictures and were amazed at how lifelike Susan’s flowers dies are. I knew I had to make them a Thank You card for the warmth they showed us. Below you will find easy steps to recreate this card.

Finished card measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Folded

  1. Cut a background 4″ x 5 1/4″ with patterned paper and adhere to front of card.
  2. Diecut Stitched Ovals with patterned paper.
  3. Diecut Fitted Frames 4 – Curvy Ovals with solid paper (this piece will have the Clear Double Sided Adhesive on the back).
  4. Diecut Garden Notes Canning Jar & Lid using vellum paper. Ink the edges with distress ink. This will help the jar to pop.
  5. Diecut Garden Notes Aster using Soft Finish Cardstock, PSF119 Pink Peach for the Aster and PSF138 Olive Twist for the stems. Here is a wonderful tutorial from Susan for the assembly.
  6. Diecut 3 Big Triple Leaf using Soft Finish Cardstock PSF138 Olive Twist. Shape the leaves using Susan’s Garden 4pc All Metal Tool Set.
  7. Place Step 4 cut canning jar slightly half way on Step 2 Stitched Oval. The canning jar will be half off the bottom of the Stitched Oval. (Refer to the photo of finished card for placement.) Remove adhesive backing from Step 3 Fitted Frames 4 (you are using the frame that has the circles all around). This will hold the canning jar so no other adhesive is needed. Trim the excess off  of the jar.
  8. Using pop ups (foam tape or dots), attach the assembled Oval to the front of the card.
  9. Gently slide in the Asters from Step 5 into the opening of the canning jar and adhere using glue gun or Beacon Kids Choice glue.
  10. Layer Step 6 Big Triple Leaf pieces at the top center and sides.
  11. Stamp sentiment with Clear Stamps General Sentiments on patterned paper. Adhere to the bottom of Oval.
