Soft Finish Cardstock cards

October 25, 2016

Hello everyone! Sanna here again today with a set of Soft Finish Cardstock cards. These are again very clean and simple in style and quick and easy to make. I was looking for a soft and nice fall color combination and came up with this one. I really like the color tones of the Soft Finish Cardstock line. They all combine so well together. This is how I created my cards:

Soft Finish Cardstock cards - Sanna Lippert

1. Cut a 14,5 x 10 cm sized piece of Misty Mauve, Perfect Purple, Pink Peach and Sunflower Soft Finish Cardstock. Then take the Holiday Garlands 2 die and cut 3 strips of white Soft Finish Cardstock with it.

2. Take the colored Soft Finish Cardstock pieces and run them thru your die cutting machine again using the Holiday Garlands 2 die to cut them in 1/3 and 2/3 pieces. This way you will have 2 parts and the garland piece to use from those papers.

Adhere the white garland pieces between two colors along the die cut line. Take the Winter Sentiments clear stamp set and stamp the “wishing you a colorful day” sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock. Cut into banners. Adhere the sentiment with a paper flower and add some enamel dots and the first card is done.

Always adhere a different tone between the two base colors for more interest. Ink the stamped sentiment and glue that, the garlands and the paper flowers on their places. This card is now done.

You can create ombre effects by choosing similar tones or do a playful looking card with bold colors. Whatever you prefer. And while you are at it, make several sets, you never know when a handmade card might be needed. Have fun!

Happy crafting,
Sanna
