Hello everyone, Annette Green here from the Susan’s Garden Club Design Team. I’m hosting a holiday brunch in December and thought it would be nice for my guests to have a special, handmade place setting to take home after the meal. I used the new Mistletoe die as a decorative element on my festive red burlap bags. Here’s how easy these were to make…
Hello everyone,
It’s Joset here. Living in heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, there’s no doubt that I love to ski. Today’s card is showing this favorite sport of mine, the one where you need a good pair of skis. When they’re not on the slopes you always see all those pairs of skis in a row, resting an angle and a little messy, and that is the look I wanted to create. Here are the instructions:
Merry Christmas Gilded Poinsettia Card
October 29, 2016Hello! It’s Suzanne here today with a sweet little card that will stand out from the classic Christmas colours! I have a passion for kraft colours but don’t use them very often. Kraft cardstock always tells me that it wants to be distressed and to have more of a vintage look. Does that work with elegant letterforms? You betcha! I didn’t make this project look too shabby, just a bit distressed around some of the edges with a “hit-and-miss” technique to gild the poinsettia.
Halloween Pumpkin Card with a Glittered Background
October 28, 2016Hello, Mary here with a sparkly Halloween card. Recently Els Van de Burgt (Elizabeth Craft Designs) featured a technique for a glittered background in her Technique Friday with Els YouTube video. I wanted to try it with Halloween colors and feature a pumpkin on the front. Unfortunately I only had the Pumpkin die in my collection which is no longer available but you can easily create the same look by using the Pumpkin Peel-Offs which are really fun too. (Or maybe you have the Pumpkin die in your collection, too!) I decided to give the card some contrast by coloring the pumpkin with my Copic markers but if you are using the Peel-Off sticker you might want to glitter your pumpkin using a technique from the Halloween tag card I made a couple of years ago.
Hi everyone,
It’s Frances here today with another tutorial to share with you. I used the Joset Designs Sled and A Way with Words – Noel sentiment to create an ornament that can be used to decorate your tree. The Sled is symmetrical so it was easy to make the ornament double-sided.
Hi, it’s Sandy Diller here with you today. We are at the end of October already but I think there is still time for one more Halloween Card. I kept this card simple, yet fun, with some flying bats and a spooky graveyard. I used the Spiral Circle Pull Card for the base and then added some great elements from Karen Burniston’s Halloween Collection.
Soft Finish Cardstock cards
October 25, 2016Hello everyone! Sanna here again today with a set of Soft Finish Cardstock cards. These are again very clean and simple in style and quick and easy to make. I was looking for a soft and nice fall color combination and came up with this one. I really like the color tones of the Soft Finish Cardstock line. They all combine so well together. This is how I created my cards:
The Holidays will be here soon and it is time to work on Christmas cards so we are not so rushed when it is time to mail our greetings out to family and friends. This is Selma today and I want to show you how to create a pretty wreath using Susan’s new Garden Notes Small Poinsettia, the Garden Notes Whitepine Boughs & Pinecone and the new Garden Notes Mistletoe die sets. The other die sets used are the A Way With Words – Noel, Els van de Burgt Studio Entwined Circles and Berry Branch. Here is how to create this card:
Chevron Halloween Cards
By Judi Kauffman
The new Chevron Background die is so much fun to use! It cuts a rectangle that will fill an A2-size card front. It also cuts lots of smaller pieces, some with decorative stitched lines, as well as ten flag pieces with holes at the top for stringing them together as banners.
I decided to cut the Chevron Background from Bright Orange Soft Finish Cardstock and challenged myself to use every single piece for a batch of Halloween cards. Backing the cardstock with Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheet before cutting made it extra fast and easy.
Though I ended up with three cards; you could make more cards by using fewer pieces on each one.
