Halloween Elixir with Spooky Poinsettias

September 27, 2016

Annette Green here today with Susan’s Garden design team to share a fun Halloween decor project. I recently received a whimsical (and tasty) bottle of wine from a good friend who knows how much I LOVE Halloween. We drank it up with our friends, and I immediately washed out the bottle and put it aside for a future project. I’d love to share how I altered it into a fun and festive decor piece for my home during the fall season.

Autumn Treasure Box

September 25, 2016

Autumn Treasure Box
By Judi Kauffman

autumn-a

I thought it would be fun to create an Autumn Treasure Box to hold a few acorns and some interesting seed pods. I think I’ll keep going and make a box for each season. It’s a good way to use all of the dies in the Four Seasons set. I can decorate Winter with snowflakes, Spring with flowers, and Summer with seashells.

I chose a 6-sided box measuring 3.5” across. I knew this would mean I’d have to angle the word Autumn and crop off the flourishes at both ends to make it fit but it’s a look that I love! If you don’t want to crop the die cut word you’ll need a box measuring at least 5” long. Any sturdy box with a lid will do.

Gingerbread Man and Holiday Icons Card

September 23, 2016

Card Front

Hello crafters! Mary here today with a pop up Christmas card. There are a lot of really cute Christmas patterned papers and cardstock. If you can’t find the one I used, there are others featuring gingerbread men (I had several to choose from in my stash from different manufacturers). I made my die cuts look like the images on the patterned cardstock (or at least close). Continue Reading

Dad

Hi everyone,

It’s Frances here today with a new tutorial to share with you. I don’t know about you, but I am always looking for new ideas to use to create male themed cards. So this time round I am playing with the new Postage Stamp Squares and the Sports Charms to create a card for DAD! This card could be used for either Father’s Day or a Birthday.

Change the colors used on the card and this design can easily be converted to be suitable for ‘Mum’ or ‘Mom’ for Mother’s Day; ‘Boy’ for a Baby Boy card; ‘Joy’ for a Christmas Card etc.

Pop It Ups Wednesday with Kelly and a Wedding Card

September 21, 2016

Hi, It’s Kelly Booth here. One of my favorite things about making cards yourself is that you can customize them to specific colors. I had a wedding to go to and loved that I could give them a card made in their special colors.

Today I’m using the new Anita Frames Pop Up die set just released by Karen Burniston for the wedding card. Other dies we will be using are the new Circles & Label set, the Wedding Charms set, Stitched Squares, Poppy The Owl (tiny heart), Petit Flourish Stage it Stencil, and the Best Wishes Clear Stamps.

Here is my card front:
