Hello my crafty friends! It’s Raquel Mason here today. Lucky the Rabbit can be used for any occasion, like say a birthday card. I would like to show you how to double the Spiral Circle Pull Card so you can use all the fun stamps that come in the Lucky Birthday Clear Stamp set. Let’s get started!
Hello everyone, it’s Annette Green here from the Susan’s Garden Club Design Team with a special gift for a young lady who’s expecting her first baby this summer. It’s a baby’s keepsake box to hold little treasures, including a mini album that I’m currently creating. As you can probably tell, she’s expecting a girl, so a pink color palette was in order, and I found the Cherry Blossom die to be a perfect embellishment. I’ll share how easy it was to create this gift.
Easter Surprise Gift Bag
March 27, 2016
Hello everyone.
It’s Jackeline here and today I would like to share a quick and fun idea for Easter, a gift bag to fill with surprise treats. This last-minute project was designed to fill your home with thoughts of ‘Hoppy’ Spring and smiley faces.
Let’s get started.
1.- On a paper bag in the color and size of your choice, use black ink to repeatedly stamp Lucky the Rabbit. Tip: Temporarily mount the stamp on an acrylic block; clean and dry stamp before removing from block.
2.- Die cut a rectangle from White Soft Finish Cardstock using the largest rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle die set.
3.- Die cut 3 Easter egg silhouettes and 3 overlays from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Tip: Back the cardstock for the overlays with Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheet BEFORE die cutting.
4.- Using a mini Ink Blending Tool, ink the egg shapes and overlays with three different color inks. I used Barn Door, Peacock Feathers and Mustard Seed Distress Ink pads. Tip: Darker ink at the sides will make the eggs look rounded.
5.- Die cut 5 pieces of grass from Olive Twist Soft Finish Cardstock using the grass strip die from Easter Eggs die set.
6.- Die cut 5 banners from Sunflower Soft Finish Cardstock. Fold banners and adhere them around a brown thread.
7.- Die cut 6 banners from Soft Sky Soft Finish Cardstock. Fold banners and adhere them around a brown thread.
8.- Using the Alphabet 2 Lower Case die set, die cut letters to spell ‘happy easter” from White Soft Finish Cardstock (backed with Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheet before die cutting).
9.- Refer to the project photo: arrange and adhere the rectangle, banners, eggs and grass as shown, adding foam tape beneath the banners or anywhere else you want extra dimension. Tip: Knot the ends of the banner strings and glue them in place – knots are easier to glue down than straight string.
10.- Fill your bag with Easter grass and tuck in your favorite goodies. Surprise!
Happy Crafting,
Jacky

Hi, It’s Sandy Diller here today to share a project with you that is all about using what you already own in a creative way. I just love Els’s new patterned cardstock “Through the Lens”, and I’m always on the lookout for ways to use it. Our grandson is graduating from High School in June and I wanted a way to display his photo that honors the occasion. I found an unfinished wooden frame in my stash that I decided to use.
Hello there, Sanna here again with another project for March! I love to use bits and pieces that I have left over from previous projects in my next artwork. That is exactly what I did when creating the Travel Layout. I used all the leftover pieces from the altered savings bank to create an A4 size layout.
Hi It’s Kelly Booth
One of my very favorite things to do with cardstock that has a white core (White on one side and colored on the other) such as the New colored Soft Finish Cardstock, is to emboss it and then lightly sand the surface. I am just loving all the fun colors of the Soft Finish Cardstock so thought I would play with this favorite technique of mine.
Here is the front of the card with fun colors and Happy Balloons!
And the inside with more of the embossed and sanded cardstock around the Happy Birthday Pop Up:
Hi there! It’s Marsha here today, sharing a clean and simple Easter Eggs card!
Have you heard? The new coloured Soft Finish Cardstock has arrived and… it’s so, so beautiful!!!
I had to create something with it right away, otherwise I might hoard it and I’ll end up only petting it every once in a while.
There are so many things I love about this cardstock, but to name just one: it has one coloured side and one white side. This means you can do fun things with it, like using the coloured side to cast colourful shadows on a white card!
I like to make flat egg-shaped Shimmer Sheetz ornaments to send in my Easter cards. Sometimes I’ll use Elizabeth Craft Designs Easter Egg outline peel-offs as the starting point. This year it’s the new Joset Designs Easter Eggs die set that stole my heart.
As always, I’ve worked within a quirky color palette – Fire Opal, Australian Opal, Turquoise, and Ruby Gemstone and Bronze Metallic among my choices, but all of the eggs could be switched to bright hues or soft pastels. Shimmer Sheetz is available in over 20 colors including Iridescent in two shades of pink, white, purple, green, yellow, bright orange and red. An Iridescent Sampler Pack might be a fun way to have lots of choices.
Reminders: Shimmer Sheetz is waterproof and colorfast, as are the Glitter Dots and other peel-offs used for the eggs. These ornaments (except for the strawberry eggs) can be hung in the garden as well as displayed indoors. A Metal Adaptor Plate or Precision Base Plate is required for die cutting Shimmer Sheetz.
