Hi everyone! This is Christine from Susan Tierney-Cockburn’s Design Team. My post today is a card using Susan’s Garden Notes Tulip die and Karen Burniston’s Oval Accordion die. My tulips are finally poking through the ground but it will still be a little bit before they bloom.
Let’s get started:
The card base was made following Karen Burniston’s video seen here. The video shows the circle die but all the accordion albums go together the same way. This card was made using 3 pages.
Die cut the following from the Accordion Oval Card die:
1. Die cut 3 album pages from white cardstock and assemble per video.
2. Die cut 1 blue album page, cut the oval from the center and cut the lip from the edge. Attach the blue oval over the center page’s white oval and the blue album page over the center page’s white page. (See last photo below for placement.)
3. Die cut 4 ovals with stitch marks: 3 blue and 1 white. Attach blue ovals to the front and back of the first page and front of last page. Stamp and heat emboss (with clear embossing powder) the white oval using Susan’s Take Time rubber stamp and attach oval to front of center page.
4. Die cut white scalloped oval and attach to the center of the third page.
The next die cuts are from other dies:
5. Adhere Transparent Double-Sided Adhesive sheets on blue cardstock and die cut 2 sets (4 of each) of Flourish Frame Edges. Adhere to each of the end pages.
6. Die cut 1 embossed heart from white cardstock using die from Heart Pivot Card and attach to the center of the oval on the back of the first page.
7. Die cut 8 diamond shapes from white cardstock using the die from Tags and More 3 – Leaves. Attach to the corners on the 1st and 3rd pages.
8. Die cut 4 heart-shaped corners from white cardstock using die from Tags and More 3 – Leaves. Attach to the corners on the center page.
9. Die cut 2 flowers from the blue cardstock using the die from Tags and More 1 – Lace. Attach to the center of the 3rd page.
10. Add pearls to center of all 12 corners and 1 in the middle of the flower.
11. Using Susan’s Garden Notes Tulip die and her video seen HERE, build your tulip on the front of the card.
I do hope that you have enjoyed this tutorial and it will inspire you to check out all the wonderful dies and more here at Elizabeth Craft Designs.
