Elizabeth Craft Designs September Designer Challenge – Fall & Halloween

September 30, 2014

Hello everyone,

Each month we challenge our Design Team members to create a project for a specific theme. This month the challenge was to create a project with the theme fall or halloween.
Our designers did an amazing job creating some beautiful projects. Let’s get started!

The first creation is from Candy Spiegel who made a stunning fall garland using the new Tags & More 3 – Leaves die set. The colors are just beautiful and the decorated Peel-off leaves are a perfect match with the patterned papers. This is a great sample to see the many possibilities of the new Tags & more dies.

Rita Edwards created two beautiful cards. For the first card she used the Katie Label Accordion, the Halloween in Frame Peel-offs in gold, the Candle die and the Bow die. Love all the details on this card. Perfect for Halloween! For the second card Rita used the Ring Accordion and the Pumpkin Peel-offs.

Frances Byrne used the new Tags & More 1 – Lace die set to create these fun treat bags for Halloween. Love the bright colors. Frances used the Halloween in Frame Peel-offs in Black and colored on top of Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter.

Another beautiful accordion card. Mary Prasad used the Halloween in Frame Peel-offs in Black. The combination of purple, orange, and green seems to be popular for the Halloween theme. Love the black flowers Mary created using Bunch of Flowers 1. They really add a fun detail to the card.

Kelly Booth used the Accordion Fancy Label and the Pumpkin Peel-offs in Black to create this bright and colorful card. Kelly used a marker to trace around dies for the wonderful decorative details. Visit Kelly’s blog for more details.

Love this next card from Jackie Smith. She created a “Spooktastic” double Lorna Pop Up card using the Halloween in Frames Peel-offs in Black and the All Seasons Tree on the inside of the card. For the front she used the new Tags & More 1 – Lace dies. What a stunning card!

Raquel Mason also used the new tag dies to create treat bags. Really love how easy they are to make. A fun projects for kids and for any occasion. Love the added snowman on the second bag. If you would like to make these bags, then head over to Raquel’s blog for more info.

Kelly Booth was on a roll and made a total of four cards for today’s challenge. The trio shown below are just stunning. Kelly created the background paper herself and added the Leaves Peel-offs in Gold colored to perfection. For the words she used Yellow Silk Microfine Glitter.

The next three cards are from Debra Hensley. For the first card she used the Halloween in Frames Peel-offs in Black and the Katie Label Accordion. The second card is so unique – Debra used the Accordion Oval Card to cut ovals for the pumpkin. The leaves are from the Pumpkin die. What a great idea! For the last card she used the Lots of Dots embossing folder, the Thinking of You Peel-offs in Gold, and the Leaves Peel-offs in Gold atop Shimmer Sheetz.

The last project for today is from Karen Aicken. She used the Halloween in Frame Peel-offs in Gold and the Katie Label Accordion Card die. Karen used the Katie Stars Frame Edges on the first panel and Lace Border Peel-offs in Black on the third. More info on Karen’s blog.

Puppy Love

Hi, Jackie Smith here. I fell in love with the new Elizabeth Craft Designs Peel-offs, especially the one called ‘Puppies’. My dog has been sick so I decided to do a card for her – she is like my kid. I had these papers on hand that coordinate well with the Peel-offs.

Instructions

1. Create card base from brown cardstock. Cut 5″x 11″ rectangle; score and fold in half.
In this card I’m using a double fold with an extra platform using the Lorna Label PopUp.
Place the Lorna Label on the fold line as shown by Karen Burniston in this video. Cut another rectangle 5 1/4″x 12″ for the backing card.

IMG_1312-1

2. To create a “back wall” and a “floor wall”, cut bone paper 6″x 6″ square twice. Place Lorna Label PopUp on the edge of paper and die cut PopUp insert. You will need your scissors to cut out the Lorna Label insert completely. Do this on both papers. Adhere one wall to the top of the inside of the card and one wall to the bottom part of the inside of the card. Karen explains this step in her video as well.

3. Cut dog word vellum paper 2 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere to the top, just behind the PopUp. Cut burlap paper the same size and adhere to the bottom of the inside of the card.

4. Cut out trees, foliage and house using the Holiday House and All Seasons Tree dies. Emboss the roof part with Damask Embossing folder by Karen Burniston. Place all pieces using glue dots as shown.DSC_0248-1

5. Place black Puppies Peel-offs onto white cardstock with double sided adhesive on top. Cover Peel-offs with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and polish glitter with your finger. Use a brush to brush of the excess glitter. Follow Els’ step by step instructions for this technique here.

6. Color puppies as desired. I used Tombow Dual Brush Markers although they do require extra time to dry as they are water-based. Use alcohol-based markers instead of water-based markers if you prefer.

7. Cut out puppies. Place sitting puppy by the dog house on the inside. Save the standing puppy for the card front (step 9).

DSC_0239-1

8. Freehand cut a dog bone from the brown paper using scissors (or a craft knife and cutting mat). Add a name to the bone, spelled out in alphabet stickers. (Option: Use rubber stamps for the letters.)  Use double sided adhesive to adhere bone to the sign on the front of the dog house. Using pop dots for dimension, add dog paw prints toward the bottom right.

9. For the front of the card, cut bone paper 5 1/2″x 5 3/4″, red paper 5 1/4″x 5 1/2″ and word paper 5″x 5 1/4″. Layer and adhere using double sided adhesive. Adhere puppy, bone, dog paws and sign using pop dots as shown.

A Stand Up Helper using the new Tag & More 2!

September 27, 2014

Hi, Kelly Booth here. Have you seen the New Tags & More dies that just came out by Elizabeth Craft Designs? So many fun uses for them. I wanted to create a card using the New Tags & More 2 – Deco set. Since Els does a lot of Stand Up Helpers, I thought it would be fun to do a tag one!

Watermarked Photo(11)

Watermarked Photo(13)

Watermarked Photo(12)

1. Cut a piece of white cardstock 3 1/2″ by 11″. Using medium gray ink stamp a Happy Birthday background on both sides leaving a 1 inch space of white at the bottom of one side.  Stamp a Happy Birthday greeting in that space using black ink.

2. Score the piece at 2 3/4″ and again at 2 3/4″ with the stamped Happy Birthday greeting to the right side.

3. Die cut a Circle Stand Up Helper into the larger side at 3 1/8″.

4. Die cut another Circle Stand Up Helper from a small piece of light gray cardstock backed with Elizabeth Craft Designs Double Sided Adhesive and snip it off at the scored line. Adhere this to the Stand Up Helper you just cut into the card.

5. Cut a piece of light gray cardstock 5 1/2″ by 3 1/4″. Cut the tag at the top end using Tags & More 2.

6. Back a small piece of dark gray cardstock with double sided adhesive cut a tag hole reinforcement ring. Adhere at the top of the tag.

7. Cut a piece of white cardstock 3 by 4 1/4″ and emboss it using the Lots of Dots Embossing Folder. Color the dots using markers of your choice.

8. Using black ink stamp 1 large sheep, 1 small sheep, 1 cupcake top and one cupcake bottom.  Color with markers.

9. Take a small piece of Elizabeth Craft Designs Double Sided Adhesive and place over the colored cupcake top. Remove the backing and pour some Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter onto it and polish using your fingers.

10. Fussy cut around all stamped images.

11. Stamp Happy Birthday Sentiment in black ink on white cardstock. Die cut a banner using the banner die from the Lorna Label PopUp.

12. Cut a piece of dark gray cardstock 3″ x 3″ and cut the rolling hill using the rolling hills die from Outdoor Edges.

Assembly:

13. Put adhesive on the back of the first 2 3/4″ section. Fold forward and adhere the light gray tag.

14. Adhere the white dotted piece on top of the tag spacing it evenly on three sides.

15. Place the rolling hill at the bottom.

16. Place the Happy Birthday banner at the top using foam mounting tape or pop dots for added dimension.

17. Place Transparent/Gold Glitter Dots around the Stand Up Helper and color them to match the dotted background.

18. Place the cupcake on the rolling hill with the small sheep on top. Place the larger sheep close to the greeting at the bottom using pop dots or foam mounting tape for all. Tie a crinkly pink ribbon through the hole at the top of the tag and the card is done!

It’s Frances here. Elizabeth Craft Designs just released some amazing new products today. Part of their new release are these 3 fun tag die sets – Tags & More. Each of the three sets (Deco, Leaves, and Lace) includes a Basic Tag shape that can be cut to any length, a Decorative Overlay, 4 Reinforcements, and 3 Corner pieces, plus a bonus ¼” Circle.

Tags

For my project today I used Tags & More 3 – Leaves in combination with Lots of Pops to create a tag pop up card. Before I show you how I created my card, let me tell you about the other new cool products, Elizabeth Craft Designs released today.

Double Sided Adhesive

Yeh, Elizabeth Craft Designs is releasing their brand new logo-printed Transparent Double Sided Tape, available in Rolls (5 widths) and Sheets (3 sizes), with stronger hold and thinner release sheets for easy die cutting and true-color glittering projects.

Instructions

Now let me show you how I created my Snowman Tag Pop Up Card:

1. Cut a piece of light blue card 3 1/2 inches x 12 inches, a piece of dark blue card 3 1/2 inches x 12 inches and another piece of light blue card 3 1/2 inches x approx 7 inches.

ECDSnowmanTag5wm

2. Score the light blue card at 6 inches, fold and then unfold. Place the Lots of Pops die on the center score line, secure in place using removable tape. Place the tag die at the top of the card and secure in place using removable tape. Run card through die cutting machine.

ECDSnowmanTag7

3. Remove both dies from the light blue card. Place the decorator die which is included in the tag die set onto the light blue card lining up the hole in the decorator die with the hole created by the tag die, ensuring that the die is even around the curve of the already cut die shape. Secure die in place using removable tape.

4. Score the dark blue card at 6 inches. Place the tag shape die onto the card as we did previously to the light blue card and secure in place using removable tape. Run both pieces through your die cutting machine.

5. On the remaining light blue card repeat the steps above to create the tag shape (using both the tag shape die and the decorator die, but not the pop up die).

ECDSnowmanTag6wm

6. Use a paper trimmer or craft knife and ruler to cut off the excess edge from creating the tag shape from all three pieces of card.

7. Fold up the pop up piece on the light blue card. For this card we are only popping up the main piece not the smaller optional pop up panels.

8. Adhere the light blue card into the dark blue card. Trim off any uneven edges and if necessary trim the bottom of the card to make it even.

9. Adhere the smaller light blue card to the front of the card lining up the top of the card.
Trim of any excess length so it is even with the fold of the card.

10. Die cut two the “eye” shaped hole decorate pieces and adhere these over the hole at the top of the card on the front and inside of the card.

11. Add some twine or cord through the hole of the top of the card.

ECDSnowmanTag4wm

12. Adhere a piece of double sided adhesive to white card, approx 3 inches x 3 1/2 inches. Remove the release sheet and place it upside down on your desk (shiny side up).

13. From the Snowman in Frame Peel-off sheet remove the snowman without the frame,
the broom and ornament. Place your pieces sticky side up onto the release sheet.

14. Take your white card and place it with the adhesive side facing down onto the release sheet with the Peel-offs on it. The Peel-offs will lift from the release sheet and stick to the adhesive on the card stock.

15. Turn your card so the release sheet is now on top. Take off the release sheet and make sure not to touch the images on the adhesive.

16. Cover the adhesive with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and polish with your finger. Brush off any excess glitter. You can see a video Els created using this technique here.
Color your images as desired.

17. Cut out the snowman, broom and ornament.

18. Adhere another piece of double sided adhesive to white card, approx 2 inches x 5 inches. Die cut snow edges using the Outdoor Edges die set. Remove the release sheet from the adhesive and add Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter.

ECDSnowmanTagwm

19. Cut the glittered snow edges in half. Adhere one half to the pop up panel as per photo.
Add snowman to the pop up panel over the snow. (Note – I adhered the snowman to the panel about half way up). Then add the other piece of snow so it is in front of the snowman. Trim any excess so it is even with the pop up panel.

20. Decorate the snowman with the broom and ornament. I added twine to the ornament so I could hang it on the twig arm.

ECDSnowmanTag3wm

21. Die cut 7 snowflakes from white card that is covered with double sided adhesive.
Use snowflakes die from the Circle Spiral Pull Card. Remove the release sheet from all 7 snowflakes and cover them with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter. Polish and brush off any excess glitter.

22. Use the label die from the Lorna Label Pop Up to die cut one label from white card.
Sponge edge with blue ink. Stamp sentiment with black ink and adhere label to lower panel of inside of the card.

23. Decorate the card with 5 of the snowflakes as per photo above. To the center of each snowflake add a Transparent/Gold Glitter Dot.

24. Die cut 4 photo corners from the Tag Die set from dark blue card. Adhere one on either side to the lower corner on the inside of the card and the remaining two corners to the bottom edges on the outside.

ECDSnowmanTag2wm

25. Use the large label from the Katie Label Accordion Card and die cut one label from white and two from dark blue card. Sponge edges with blue card. Stamp sentiment using black ink.

ECDSnowmanTag8wm

26. To create the dark blue layer around the label. Cut the two dark blue labels in half, one lengthwise and the other widthwise. Trim off the corners so that each half looks like the half labels on the right in the photo above. Adhere the two long labels behind the white label so a small amount is showing. Then adhere the remaining two short labels so they appear at the top and bottom of the label.

27. Cut a piece of dark blue card 5/8 inches by 3 1/2 inches and adhere to the front of the card so it will be in the center of the label when it is attached to the card. Trim off any excess from sides.

28. Attach label to card using foam tape.

29. Attach the last two snowflakes to the front of the card using foam tape.

Congratulations, Lovebirds

September 25, 2014
Hi there crafty friends! It’s Debra here today to share a quick and elegant Congratulations card for the newlywed lovebirds in your life.  Do you find, as I do, that you are always in short supply of a beautiful wedding card for that special bride and groom? It’s easy to pick one up at the store but it’s just not the same as making one with all the love and affection you feel for the happy couple. Finding the time to make something special can be a challenge. That’s why today’s card is so easy you can make several to tuck away in your stash. Tip: If you know the bride and groom’s wedding colors you can change the card to match their special day.

Here are the instructions:

1. Cut a piece of light blue cardstock to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score and fold in half to form a standard A2 size card base. Cut another piece to 3 3/4 x 5 and emboss with the Curly Leaves Embossing Folder. Cut a piece of white cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4.

2. Adhere the embossed blue piece to the white piece. Adhere to the card base on foam adhesive for added dimension.

3. Adhere a piece of double sided adhesive sheet to a 3″ square of white cardstock. Remove release sheet and place one Crystal Flower Peel-off on top, sticky side up. Place cardstock with adhesive side down onto the release sheet. Remove release sheet and cover adhesive and Peel-off with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter. Polish with your fingers. Brush off the excess glitter; return it to the jar for other projects. Cut out flower.

4.Adhere another piece of double sided adhesive to white cardstock 3 x 2 1/4. Peel off release sheet and cover adhesive with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter. Polish with your fingers. Brush off the excess glitter; return it to the jar for other projects. Die cut two Bird silhouettes from this glittered piece of cardstock.

5. Cut two Bird overlays from darker blue cardstock.

Spooky Witch Card

September 24, 2014

Card Front

Created by Mary Dimercurio Prasad for Elizabeth Craft Designs

I love Halloween! It’s such a fun theme for making cards, too. Here’s my first of the year. I hope you enjoy making this project as much as I did.

Making the Card

1. Adhere Double Sided Adhesive Sheet to white cardstock. Remove release sheet and adhere the witch using the transfer technique Els shows in the video tutorial HERE. Coat with Cool Diamond Microfine Glitter and polish with your finger. Color with alcohol markers (Copics used here). OPTION: Tone down the silver outlines and the solid areas on the cat and spider in the peel-off with a warm-toned black alcohol based marker. Work slowly and carefully so the black will not get on any of the glitter or the other marker colors. (This will crate a spooky mottled effect on the cat and spider and will add a pop of black to the eyeballs.)

Witch

2. Cut sheet of black cardstock to 6 1/2 x 10 inches; fold in half. Cut matching purple patterned cardstock from 12×12 Midnight Magic pack to 6 1/8 x 4 3/4. Apply adhesive, line up with top of card, center, and stick down.

3. Cut shown piece of patterned cardstock (with spider, skull, and raven) to 5 7/8 x 4 5/8 inches. Adhere spider web washi tape as shown, wrapping ends around back. Cut a thin piece of Basic Black Shimmer Sheetz to 5 7/8 inches. Adhere below washi tape. Apply adhesive to back, line up with top of card, center, and stick.

4. Using main die from Katie Label Accordion, cut purple cardstock. Cut middle “label” piece from the frame; turn it over, line it up, secure with removable tape and cut again. This takes off the extra bits from the accordion. Adhere glittered witch to center using dimensional tape.

5. Using shown “label” die from Katie Label Pivot Card set, cut one black cardstock and one purple cardstock. Stamp and silver emboss “Spooky” sentiment near bottom right of purple label as shown. Outline with black marker. Add spider brad embellishment as shown.

6. Cut three sizes of five petaled flowers (Bunch of Flowers 1) from black cardstock. Cut mid-sized triple leaf from light green cardstock. Using foam blending tool, add Mowed Lawn to leaves, followed by Black Soot as shown. Cover flowers and leaves with clear Wink of Stella. Shape as desired. Cover with Distress Crackle Paint. Let dry. Adhere flower layers together as shown. Add gem to center.

Black Rose

7. Adhere witch as shown using dimensional tape. Adhere black label where shown. Adhere “spooky” label using dimensional tape just offset from black label.

8. Adhere leaves and flower as shown. Add gem embellishments as shown.

A Mobile of Ducks

September 23, 2014

ECD_Mobile_Candy_Spiegel4

Hi, it’s Candy here. This time I wanted to share an adorable mobile I created with dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs. My inspiration came from something Els said. When she saw a card
I made with the Rubber Ducky die she commented that it would make a cute mobile – so I made one!

ECD_Mobile_Candy_Spiegel

1. Cut 8 duck bodies and 8 duck wings from Yellow Metallic Shimmer Sheetz (use Metal Adaptor Plate to make clean cuts).

2. Add a small piece of Shimmer Sheetz to back of duck to cover eye hole. Option: Omit the extra piece of Shimmer Sheetz behind the eye hole and instead of using googly eyes (Step 5) allow the eye to remain a simple open oval shape.

ECD_Mobile_Candy_Spiegel2

3. Cut beaks from orange cardstock and adhere to ducks. Option: Cut beaks from Orange Iridescent Shimmer Sheetz.

4. Use dimensional foam adhesive to attach wings. Option: For 2-sided ducks, add a beak and
a wing to the other side of the body and omit the extra piece of Shimmer Sheetz and googly eyes (see Option in Step 2).

5. Glue on goggly eyes.

ECD_Mobile_Candy_Spiegel3

6. Cut 3 hearts from Amethyst Gemstone Shimmer Sheetz.

7. Protect the work table with a piercing mat. Use piercing tool to create a hole in each of the ducks and hearts.

ECD_Mobile_Candy_Spiegel5

8. Paint embroidery hoop.

9. Drill small holes in embroidery hoop.

10. Attach hearts and ducks to hoop with jewelry string.

11. Use fishing swivels (with hooks removed) to connect strings together to create a hanger.

Katie Accordion Battery-Operated Tea Light Luminary

September 22, 2014

Hello my crafty friends, it’s Raquel. When I first saw the new Christmas Elves Peel-offs, I could not wait to use them on the Katie Label Accordion. I love discovering new ways to use dies, so when I realized I could make a 4-sided luminary with the Katie Accordion I was excited. Safety reminder: This luminary is designed for a battery-operated tea light candle, not the wax and wick variety. Let me show you how I made it.

PIU Katie Accordion fold down w candle

1.  From red card stock cut 4 Katie Accordion panels, cut off both of the little side tabs on all 4 panels.

2.  From pattern paper cut 2 Katie Accordion panels, cut out the center label (I didn’t use the frame portion).

3.  From green card stock cut 2 sets of Katie Holly Frame Edges (total of 4 each size for a total of 8 frames). Die cut 6 flourishes using the accessory die in the Katie Label Accordion.

4.  Adhere double sided adhesive to a 2.5″ x 5″ piece of white cardstock. Using the string of lights die from the Holiday House set, die cut 5 strings of lights. Working one string of lights at a time, remove the release sheet from the adhesive, cover with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter, shake off excess, polish the glitter with your finger. Color the glittered strings of lights with alcohol based markers.

5.  Adhere a piece of double sided adhesive to white cardstock large enough to fit desired Christmas Elves Peel-offs.

6.  Place desired peel-off stickers sticky side up on the release sheet. Take your white cardstock with the double sided adhesive and place it sticky side down onto the release sheet. Your peel-offs will now be stuck to the adhesive.

7.  Cover the adhesive with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter, shake off excess and polish with your finger. Color images with alcohol based markers, then cut out images.

8.  Adhere all pieces to Katie Label Accordion per photos below. Tip: To aid in keeping your peel-off sentiments straight, use a Transfer Sheet to transfer the Merry Christmas peel-off sticker to your project (tip courtesy of Frances Byrne).

9.   Lay your Katie Label Accordions with the long tabs to the right and use liquid glue to adhere them all together. Connect the last tab to the first panel to create a box. The luminary will fold flat for mailing or storage.

I hope you were inspired by my tutorial and feel inspired to try it out yourself.

Happy Crafting,

Raquel

The Envelope, Please

The Envelope, Please by Judi Kauffman

We’re welcoming Judi Kauffman back as today’s Guest Designer. She’s showing how to stretch one sheet of Dragonfly Ladies in Circle peel-offs to decorate seven envelopes!
And she included a bonus Flower Cuties envelope, too.

Thanks for inviting me back, Joset. Remember those pieces of paper that start with
“Dear (person’s name)” and end with “Love (your name)”? Yes, I’m talking about LETTERS,
and letters require an envelope, and I’m a firm believer that decorated envelopes are more
fun than plain ones.

That’s where today’s project comes in: I’m challenging one and all to decorate a batch of letter-size (#10) envelopes. Then write letters; fill those envelopes and mail them! Include a bookmark, a drawing or photo print, a clipping from a newspaper or magazine. I think you’ll be amazed at the impact real mail has on folks these days.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Design strategies:
*Pick interesting #10 envelopes (heavy weight speckled, flannel-finish, linen weave, or other)
*Use the sheet of peel-offs shown, Dragonfly Ladies in Circle, or choose butterflies, flowers, owls, Asian vases, cupcakes, or other themes.
*The goal is to create at least six or more envelopes from a single sheet of peel-offs. Use a single large motif for some of the envelopes and groups of smaller motifs for the rest of them.
*To further stretch the sheet of peel-offs, use one medium size heart per envelope instead of all three, fewer leaves or fewer circles and mini hearts, one bow instead of two, and so on.
*Option: Save a few of the smaller peel-offs and decorate the writing paper that will hold your letter!

2. After placing the peel-off(s) onto the envelope, cover with a sheet of lightweight (text/computer) paper and burnish well with a burnishing tool or the bowl of a spoon so the peel-offs won’t budge while in the postal system.

3. Color in and around the peel-offs using markers, colored pencils, or paint. Draw wavy or zigzag lines on which to write the recipient’s address and your return address. Add doodles and details with fine nib black and medium point white pens.

A Christmas Accordion Oval Card with Sparkles

September 19, 2014

Hi, It’s Kelly Booth here. Are you starting to think about Christmas cards? I seem to always wait until the last minute as it is still so hot here – it is hard to think about Christmas!  I Love the new Jackie’s Christmas Dolls in Oval Peel-0ffs and wanted to use them for my card today.

Directions:

1. Cut 4 accordion panels from the Oval Accordion card die set, 3 red and 1 green
(Note: Before removing the die cuts from the die take a white gel pen and trace through the stitched openings in the die. Do this on two of the red and on one green one).
The extra red panel will be used later.

2. Take a 5″ x 5″ piece of  Elizabeth Craft Designs double sided adhesive and adhere to a
5″ x 5″ piece of green card stock. Cut the Oval Dots Frame edges using this piece. You will need two long and two short ones.

3. Cut an accent white stitched oval for the sentiment using the largest oval accent die and the stitched oval. Cut these at the same time by taping the stitched oval die inside the larger oval die before running the dies though your die cutting machine. Stamp your sentiment on this piece using black dye ink.

4. Take a piece of double sided adhesive  5″ x 12″ and a piece of white cardstock the same size. Peel the backing from the double sided adhesive and place it onto the white cardstock.

5. Peel away the release sheet and place two of the Jackie’s Christmas Dolls in Oval Peel-offs, two hats and two candy canes onto the release paper sticky side up. Press the sticky side of the cardstock on this picking up the Peel-offs.

6. Take off release sheet, then pour Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter over the adhesive and the Peel-offs and polish with your fingers. Brush off the excess glitter; return it to the jar for other projects.

7. Color all images using alcohol markers of your choice. I used Copics on these. Then cut around all images close to the black lines. I used some liquid pearls to raise the snow dots on the second oval doll.

Here is a Photo of all the pieces you should have:

Assembly:

8. Place three of the panels side by side, one red, one green and another red with the tabs facing to the right. Place strips and pieces of double sided adhesive on all four tabs of the first two panels,  the tabs on the last one will be snipped off. Remove the adhesive backing from the long tabs and join all threee panels together.

9. Place one of the colored doll ovals in the oval of the first panel using foam tape or pop dots to pop it up slightly. Use a piece of foam tape or pop dots to add dimension to the hat.

10. Cut out the oval from your extra red panel and place in the center of the green accordion panel. Adhere your white stitched sentiment piece on top of this using pop dots or foam tape. Place candy canes onto this piece using foam tape or pop dots.

11. Adhere the last oval doll peel-off in the center of the last panel also using a piece of foam tape or pop dots to pop it up slightly. Adhere the hat onto her using foam tape or pop dots.

12. I like to fold my card at this point (before connecting the ovals with the small tabs).
The first fold is a valley fold, the second is a mountain fold. At this point, snip off the tabs from the last panel since they will not be needed.

13. Adhere the open red oval panel with no stitching on top of what will be the front of the card using adhesive. Take the Oval Dots Frame edges, peel off the backing and adhere to the front of the card (backside of panel one) spacing them evenly.

14. Connect the ovals by joining the small tabs as follows. First two ovals are connected so that they form a mountain fold over the valley fold of the outer panels. Second and third ovals are connected so they are connected as a valley fold, under the mountain fold of the outer panels.

15. Add a ribbon bow, centered, at the top of the second panel.
