Elizabeth Craft Designs August Designer Challenge – Asian Theme

Hello everyone!

We are already at the end of August, time for another challenge post. This month we asked our designers to create projects with an Asian theme. I am a big fan of Elizabeth Craft Designs Asian dies and Peel-offs – they make such elegant cards! Love the dies (shown below): Ginger Jar, Asian Vase, Kimono, Lotus Flower and Koi. We also have a wide variety of Asian Peel-offs in Black, Gold and Silver. They include Koi Fish and Flower, Lotus Flower, Kimono (a sheet that also includes fans), Asian Signs, and many more. First project is from Frances Byrne who created this stunning stand up card using the Best Wishes Stand Up Helper die and two Asian vases from the Asian vases Peel-off sheet. She colored the vases perfectly to match with the patterned paper she used for her card base. For more info, visit Frances’ blog.

Lanterns are very Asian and that is why I love our next card created by Rita Edwards. Rita used the Asian signs Peel-offs in gold and the Thinking of You die. Rita made a collection of Asian cards that you can find on her blog so make sure to stop by.

Debra Hensley used the Koi Fish & Flowers Peel-offs in gold in combination with a cute Asian image. Love the added red Glitter Dots Peel-offs for the center of the flower and the eyes of the fish. The coloring is stunning as well and a perfect match with the background paper.

Kelly Booth used the Ring Accordion die for her Asian theme card in combination with the Koi Fish & Flowers Peel-offs in gold. The colors of the fish are beautiful and I love how it looks like they are swimming in the water. For more info and instructions, make sure to visit Kelly’s blog.

The Waterlilies Peel-offs on Candy Spiegel’s card are an eye catcher! They really pop out with the ocean blue background. Candy colored on top of the Silk Microfine Glitter. The Koi Fish is cut from Black Velvet Adhesive adhered on Gold Metallic Shimmer Sheetz.

Next card is from Raquel Mason who used the Lotus Flower and Thinking of You Stand Up Helper dies, border Peel-offs and Shimmer Sheetz. I love the combination of colors and the added gold Peel-off border. See more at Raquel’s blog.

Helen Cryer also used the Ring Accordion die and the Waterlilies Peel-offs for her Asian theme card. She colored each of the three Waterlilies to match the Ring panel and Shimmer Sheetz inner circle.. Love how she embossed the panels and used the extra bamboo pieces for added detail.

Raquel Mason made a second card using one of my favorite Peel-offs, the Lotus Flower. This is such a beautiful and elegant Peel-off and fits with almost every card or background. Love how Raquel kept this card clean and simple with a narrow gold Peel-off border.

Karen Aicken made three projects. Here are the first two. On the left is a beautiful Stand Up Helper card featuring the Asian Vase Peel-off in gold and on the right, a fun bookmark featuring the Kimono Peel-off in silver. Love the colors of the Asian Vase and the Shimmer Sheetz embossed panels on both sided of the stand up portion. For more info, make sure to visit Karen’s blog.

Another beautiful card featuring the Lotus Flower Peel-off. This card was created by Debra Hensley who also used the Ginger Jar die, Shimmer Sheetz, border Peel-offs and the Flower Mosaic embossing folder. Love the colors on this elegant card and the embossed side edges. For more info, make sure to visit Debra’s blog.

Kelly Booth also used the Flower Mosaic folder for a beautiful embossed background. The flowers are from the Koi Fish and Flowers Peel-off sheet and look beautiful. Kelly used the Lorna Label Pop Up die for the inside of her card which you can find a picture of on her blog.

The second card Kelly created is this fun Hello Friend Stand Up Helper card. Kelly used our Bamboo embossing folder to create a beautiful painted background. The Asian Vase Peel-off is colored to perfectly match the rest of the card.

Rita Edwards used the Kimono die to create this beautiful two-tone card. The layout is just perfect and the dragonflies add a nice detail. Rita used the Thank You Stand Up Helper die to create a unique flat band at the bottom of the card.

Mary Prasad also used the Kimono die for her card. She picked the perfect patterned paper for this Asian theme and the added flowers from Bunch of Flowers 1 look beautiful. Make sure to visit Mary’s blog for more wonderful creations.

Karen Aicken used the Asian Vase Peel-off in gold for this elegant card. Love the butterfly perched on top of the vase and the flower border Peel-off that accents the bottom of the card, acting as a table or shelf for the vase. Make sure to check out Karen’s blog for more projects.

One Thing Leads to Another – Part 1 By Judi Kauffman

Thanks for inviting me to be part of the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog today, Joset.

I thought it would be fun to combine elements from my Pastel Challenge (7-27-2014) and The Color Purple (blog post for 8-10-2014) but almost immediately things began to change direction.

Instead of pastels, I found that the cards were getting bolder and bolder and lots of bright green and red were sneaking in. When I spied a sheet of outline peel-offs with bunches of grapes, vines and leaves, all of a sudden there was an even bigger shift: I needed fall colors! Chocolate, burnt umber, cordovan, deep wine red, maroon, moss, olive and puce green pens took over. I was done with pink.

It may still be summer as I write these words, but my mind is on the way to Thanksgiving dinner and some leaf peeping in Vermont.

Dip into your collection of outline peel-offs or order some of the ones I used. Stick to a palette identical to mine, or combine any colors you prefer. Make a plan and then give yourself permission to alter it again and again.

A Ring Accordion Card with Hoppy!

Hi, it’s Kelly Booth here! I have always loved interactive cards. Now that I have grandchildren I love making them even more knowing that it makes them smile.

For today’s card I am going to show you how you can make a shaker card with less drying time by using the Elizabeth Craft Designs double sided adhesive instead of glue.

Here is the card front:

The Inside:

MAKE THE SHAKER:

1. Start with the main Ring Accordion die and the large circle die from the Spiral Circle Pull Card set. Cut both at once by securing them with removable tape. *Important: This tape will be left in place for Step 2 so that the two dies remain in the same position. You will only need the center ring from this cut and the ones made in Step 2.

2. Cut 4 more rings from ECD double sided adhesive using the same method shown in step 1.
Cut 2 from Green Fun foam and 1 from a piece of lime green cardstock backed with ECD double sided adhesive. You need to cut all of these before removing the tape (the tape that holds the 2 dies together) so all your circles are the same exact size.

3. Adhere the 2 fun foam rings with a double sided adhesive ring between them. Add a second double sided adhesive ring on top of the 2-layer ring.

4. Cut one Ring Accordion panel from light blue cardstock. You can use scraps as all you would need is the inner circle. Trim all edges around the circle once cut., then ink the bottom with distress ink creating a water look. Take a medium lotus flower peel-off and place it on a piece of White Iridescent Shimmer Sheetz and cut it out cutting away the stem. Put a little picce of ECD double sided adhesive on the back and adhere it to the water part of the circle towards the left side.

5. Place another ring of the ECD double sided adhesive on the back of your sandwiched fun foam and press it down on your inked circle with the lotus flower. Now add your beads and sequins to the center of the shaker and place another ring of the ECD double sided adhesive on top.

6. Cut one inner circle from clear acetate the same way as in step 4. Place this one on top of your fun foam circle that has the circle with ECD double sided adhesive on top. You have now sealed your shaker. I like the to finish of the edges of my shaker by putting a little liquid adhesive around the edges and wrap some twine around three times.

7. Cut 4 Ring Accordion panels from Lime green Cardstock. Before removing the die from the cardstock use a white gel pen to mark the stitched lines in each one.

8. Now take the green circle with the ECD double sided adhesive on it and peel the backing away being careful not to touch the adhesive. Cover adhesive with (635) Spring Peridot Silk Microfine Glitter and burnish it in with your fingers. Tap off excess glitter. You can now attach this to the front of your shaker by using little pieces of ECD double sided adhesive.

9. Hoppy the Frog (ECD/Karen Burniston Character die) is small enough to cut from scraps of cardstock. I used ink-splattered cardstock for the body and glittered cardstock for the lips
(Silk Microfine 614 True Red). The backing is black; I used black and white for the eyes. Position the completed Hoppy as shown in the photo, just to the side of the shaker.

CONSTRUCT THE CARD:

10. Take the four accordion panels cut in Step 7 and cut the centers out of two, leaving only the main circle. These will be put on the back of the card to cover the tabs and strengthen the rings.

11. Line up the large accent circle and the stitched circle from the Ring Accordion set onto the Light Blue cardstock and cut once. Cut a small white circle for the sentiment (I used a circle die from the Accordion Circle Card die set (769).

12. Place the two whole accordion panels in front of you with the tabs pointing to the right.
Attach the panels by adding a small piece of adhesive on the outer tab of the first panel.
Snip off the outer tab on the second panel (the one at the right). Turn the card over and adhere the extra stitched rings to the back, covering where the tab joins the panels. Make a valley fold.

13. Put some pieces of ECD double sided adhesive on the back of your shaker and place it on the right panel.

14. Place your Lt Blue Stitched circle to the front and the small white sentiment to the center using some foam mounting tape or pop dots to create dimension. I added a small Silk Microfine Glittered Heart to the sentiment using a die from Poppy the Owl.

15. Put a little piece of ECD Double sided adhesive on the small inner tab from the left panel to attach both inner circles. These inner circles will form a mountain fold. You can snip off the small inner tab from the right panel. Take the inner circles you cut from the backing circles and place them on the back side covering up the small tabs and giving the card a finished look.

Pop it Ups

Thinking of You

Hi! It’s Candy with another post for the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog. Everyone has a bad day once in a while and needs a sweet pick-me-up. I thought the new Rainy Day Set would be perfect for a thinking-of-you card. I used the Lucy Label Pop Up die for my card base and flowers from Bunch of Flowers Set 1 to finish of my card.

To create the card:

1. Cut purple cardstock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. Score at 4 1/4″.

2. Cut striped paper 5 1/8″ x 8 1/4″. Score at 4 1/8″.

3. Place Lucy Label die on crease of striped paper (centered) and cut. Fold out the pop up

4. Center and adhere the striped paper on the purple cardstock. (do not put adhesive where pop up is).

5. Cut flower pattern paper 5 1/4″ x 4″. Adhere to card front.

6. Cut strip of striped paper 5 1/2″ x 1″. Adhere to card front.

7. Stamp sentiment. Mat with red cardstock. Adhere to card front.

8. Cut light green cardstock and dot patterned paper flowers using Bunch of Flowers 1 dies. Adhere as shown.

9. Add Glitter Dots Peel-offs to the center of each flower.

10. Die cut umbrella, label, Thinking of You and boots and adhere as shown. Tip: For added dimension, use foam tape behind the front boot.

11. Optional: Create a place to write a personal message – Cut light green cardstock 2 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ and adhere.

12. Cut flowers from patterned paper using the same die set as in step 8. Arrange and adhere as shown.

13. Add Glitter Dots Peel-offs to the center of each flower.

Wheelbarrow of Roses

I thought this would make a nice thank you card for a friend. After coloring the image, I decided to mimic the wrapping on the roses as the background on the card. I found some black and white striped paper and used the same colored markers for the stripes. They aren’t perfectly colored like a patterned paper would be, but I like the hand-made feel it gives to the card.

Making the Card

1. Cut purple cardstock 4 1/4 by 11 inches. Fold in half to create card base. Cut a piece of matching purple paper 3 3/4 by 6 inches. If you don’t have matching paper, use the same cardstock. Cut black and white striped paper 4 1/4 by 7 inches.

2. Stamp and color two images – the mouse carrying roses for the card front and a bee for the inside of the card. I used Copic markers. Color the black and white striped paper in matching colors. Use the scalloped oval from Accordion Oval set to cut out the mouse image. Carefully trim off the scallops so it will just be an oval. Cut the scalloped oval from black cardstock and adhere image to it as shown.

3. Cut a thin strip of red cardstock 4 1/4 inches long. Using Thank You die, cut 6 copies from red cardstock. Glue them together on top of one another so they will have thickness.

4. Center Lots of Pops die along purple card base fold and die cut as per the instructions.
Pop up only the main platform and one on top. Adhere purple paper behind cut area so the hole won’t show when card is opened. The photo below shows a side view of this.
Adhere striped paper to the card front as shown. It should cover the purple paper completely. Adhere red strip to card as shown (cover seam). Use dimensional tape to stick down the main image as shown. Adhere Thank You as shown.

5. Die cut 3 clouds (All Seasons Tree) of each size from dark and medium green cardstock
(12 total). Die cut 14 small leaves from light green cardstock. Using a foam blender tool, ink edges with Evergeen Bough Distress ink. Die cut tree from brown cardstock. Optional – draw bark lines using brown colored pencils. Adhere as shown.

6. Die cut clouds (All Seasons Tree) from White Iris Shimmer Sheetz using metal adaptor plate. Adhere largest cloud as shown. Adhere small cloud using dimensional tape as shown.

7. Die cut two copies of wheelbarrow from “distressed wood” cardstock. Cut out “main section” from one. Cut a piece of red cardstock 1 5/8 by 1 inch; cut an arc across one wide end. This will go in the wheelbarrow to hold the flowers. Adhere it to the full wheelbarrow on the design side. Add dimensional tape to the back of the “main section” and line it up with the wheelbarrow; stick down.

8. From red paper, cut 13 small four rounded petal flowers (Bunch of Flowers 1) and 13 small five petal flowers (pictured above). Ink edges of both sides with Aged Mahogany. Cut 12 leaves (All Seasons Tree) from green paper. Ink edges of both sides with Forest Moss.
Coat both sides of all cuts with Distress Crackle Paint, Rock Candy. Shape petals by rubbing in the center with something rounded like the end of a small paint brush. I use a rubber mouse pad under flowers for shaping. Shape leaves by drawing down the centers with a die pick or small embossing tool. Curl the tips of all leaves and petals from behind using your thumb and long edge of tool.

9. Adhere each four-petal flower to center of a five-petal flower. Add some glue to the center and pinch/scrunch from behind to form a rose. Glue 10 of the flowers to the red cardstock in the wheelbarrow. Glue 9 leaves between the flowers, similar to what is shown.

10. Die cut 2 grass pieces (Garden Bench) from green paper; ink edges with Forest Moss.
Coat with Distress Crackle, Rock Candy. Adhere one in front of tree as shown.

11. Fussy cut bee image. Add Wink of Stella to wings (optional). Bend a few inches of wire around the end of a small paintbrush to create loops. Bend small flat loops at each end of wire. Adhere one end to back of bee by sandwiching it between the image and a small piece of white cardstock. Similarly stick the other end to the upper pop up platform using purple cardstock. Bend the bee wire as desired.

12. Adhere wheelbarrow to front of main pop up platform. Adhere grass as shown. Adhere two flowers and one leaf in front of wheelbarrow as shown. Add one flower and two leaves to the right of the wheelbarrow. Add two tree leaves to the bottom of the card as shown – your hand-written message will go under those.

A Little Humor in the House

Hi Everyone!

It’s Debra here. Life sometimes can be challenging and I find in those times a little humor helps lighten the load so much! I just got back from taking both my kids out of state to college and was in need of some smiles. I had that in mind when I create this humorous House Pivot card. It looks sweet and innocent on the front but when you open it you get a big surprise and hopefully a big smile! I can think of a lot of friends this would be so fun to send to.

Here’s how I made this card:

1.Cut a piece of white cardstock and pattern paper suitable for a sky background each to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 – a standard A2 size. Score well in the center. Using the Karen Burniston House Pivot Card die, die cut the house, lining up the die with the centering nubs on the scored line, about 1 inch from the bottom. Once cut crease the folds well so it will close.

2. Die cut the decorator house from the House Pivot Card die in red cardstock. Using the die as a stencil, ink the bricks on with Fired Brick distress ink.

3. Die cut the additional decorator pieces from the House Pivot Card die set as well as trees, clouds and flowers from the All Seasons Tree die. Cut an additional fence from the House Pivot Card in white to overlay on the base. Cut three grass tufts from the grass Stand Up Helper in Set 1. Ink the two window inserts lightly with yellow ink. Print sentiment in brown on white cardstock and die cut with clouds from All Seasons Tree.

4. Cut strips of two ply paper towels about 1/2 wide. Separate the layers. Roll two up to form TP rolls and one just a little to put in a tree. This was fun!

5. Assemble the card. Adhere the house windows, door, roof and chimney to the red brick base. Add teal glitter dots to the window boxes as flowers. Add a small teal glitter dot to the door for a knob. Adhere a 1 inch strip of green cardstock to the bottom of the card under house. Add freehand-cut hills to both sides. Add grass tufts. Adhere completed house to pivot. Adhere white fence over base fence. To form bushes, cut one large green cloud in half and the bottom of one small green cloud. Add yellow flowers with glitter dots in the center. Add trees on foam adhesive, adhering only the trunk. Add green dotted clouds to form leaves of trees, adhered directly to the base leaving the branches unattached. String strips of paper towels over branches securing with mini glue dots. Vary the length for interest. Add 2 TP rolls to bottom. Adhere clouds with sentiment last.

6. For the card front add a strip of green cardstock to the bottom and a grass tuft cut in half. Add a cloud bush next to the house. Adhere three large clouds cut from the base pattern paper together in a line. Stamp sentiment with brown ink on clouds. Adhere to the front of the card at the top. Add additional small clouds to finish.

A Flourish Thank You card

Good morning crafty friends,

This is Rita here today and would like to share my ‘Thank You’ card with you. I hope you have a nice cup of coffee or tea in your hand so you can sit back and enjoy my tutorial.

This is how you can create this simple yet elegant card:

1. Cut two card bases (front and back) at 6″ wide x 6″ long and secure the Agatha Edges onto the base with washi tape. Die cut one at a time.

2. Repeat each side rotating the two different Agatha Edges for both front and back of our card. Set them aside.

3. For the inside of the card, cut the card base at 4″ wide x 9″ long and score at 4.5″. Adhere the inside layer to the back of the front card base and mark the cut line on the back card base, then trim along the cut mark.

4. Adhere the inside layer to the back of the back card base and test that the card can open and close easily without hitting any other section.

5. Using a darker card base, die cut the Flourish with Flowers, Thank You sentiment and the larger flower of the Crystal Flower set. Using a lighter card base, die cut two circles from the Accordion Circle Card set and the larger flower of the Crystal Flower Overlay Set 2. The little tag will go with a small gift.

Here you see all the die cuts for our card.

6. Adhere the Flourish with Flowers die cuts onto the front of the card base and place foam squares onto the circle die cuts, which will bring the card to a 3-dimensional feeling. Adhere the ‘Thank You’ die cut to the front of the card.

7. Adhere the smaller circle onto the larger circle with foam squares.

8. Adhere both Crystal flower and overlay to complete our card.

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone, it’s Jackie here today. Did you know that Christmas Eve is only 4 months away? Since those 4 months can go by really quick, I thought another Christmas card was in order. For this card I used the Winter Birds and Holly Branch Peel-Off Sticker in combination with Silk Microfine Glitter. I hope you will enjoy today’s tutorial.

Instructions:

1. Create card base from brown cardstock. Cut 7″x 10″ rectangle; score and fold in half (5″x7″ finished card size).

2. Cut stripe paper 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″, cut green paper 4 1/4″x 6 1/4″, and cut brown script paper 4″x 6″. Adhere green paper to stripe paper and brown script paper to green paper using double sided adhesive. See picture at the top for placement. Wrap green ribbon over the right hand corner adhering the ends at the back of the stripe paper. Adhere bow on top, then adhere paper layers to card base.

3. Place black birdhouse and black pine branch Peel-Offs onto white cardstock with double sided adhesive on top. Take off release sheet and place your stickers sticky side up onto the release sheet.

4. Take your white card and place it with the adhesive side facing down onto the release sheet with the Peel-Offs on it. The Peel-Offs will lift from the release sheet and stick to the adhesive on the card stock. Turn your card so the release sheet is now on top.

5. Take off the release sheet and make sure not to touch the images on the adhesive.
Cover the adhesive with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and polish with your finger. Use a brush to brush off the excess glitter.

6. Color glittered birdhouse and pine branch Peel-offs with Tombow Dual Brush Markers. (Tombow markers are water-based and require extra time to dry, or speed the process by blotting with a paper towel.) Use alcohol-based markers instead of water-based markers if you prefer.

7. Place double sided adhesive onto white cardstock. Take Sprig with Berries die and cut it out twice using the metal adapter plate to cut out intricate dies as shown by Els here

8. After taking off the release paper, apply Leaf Green and Regal Green Silk Microfine Glitter together as a mixture and polish well with finger. Brush off excess glitter.

9. Cut Merry Christmas from Black Velvet Adhesive sheet and adhere as shown.

Crystal Flower Pull Card

Hello everyone! Helen here today, with a Spiral Circle Pull Card tutorial for you. I was browsing through my patterned paper pads, and a turquoise and gold paper caught my eye. This paper was the inspiration for my card. Someone asked me a while ago where I get the inspiration for my cards, and I’d have to say it usually does comes from patterned papers –
the colors and style of pattern always seem to create a ‘theme’ for the rest of the card.

Directions for making the card:

1. Cut a piece of pale turquoise cardstock 5.5” x 8”. Fold it in half, and open again.

2. Use the Spiral Circle Pull Card die to create the additional folds and half-circle cut. For more info on how to use this die, watch Karen Burniston’s video tutorial HERE.

3. Cut two strips of patterned paper, each 5.5” x 1.5”, and adhere them to the outer edges of the card.

4. Cut a piece of pale turquoise cardstock 5.5” x 2.5”, and emboss using Trendy Tiles 1 Embossing Folder. Adhere to the right-hand side of the card, next to the patterned paper.

5. Cut a large and small flower from turquoise glitter cardstock using Crystal Flower Set 1.

6. Cut a circle from contrasting patterned paper using the circle die from Clocks and Gears, and another smaller circle using the circle die from the Spiral Circle Pull Card set.

7. Cut another circle using the circle die from the Spiral Circle Pull Card set from gold cardstock. Die cut Thank You in de center of the circle using the Thank You Stand Up Helper. Trim away the top half of the circle, so you are left with a piece as shown at the bottom of the picture below.

8. Glue the center of the Crystal Flower Overlays onto the turquoise glitter flowers of the corresponding size. Adhere both flowers together (small flower on top of the large flower). Add a brad in the center of the smallest flower. See close up picture below.

9. Adhere the larger contrasting patterned paper circle to the front of the floating circle, and glue the layered flower on top.

10. Inside the card, adhere the smaller patterned paper circle, with the ‘Thank You’ half circle on top.

11. Cut four Big Triple Leaves from gold cardstock. Adhere two to the card front, and two inside, as shown below.

12. Glue a sheer ribbon bow to the leaf stems on the card front.

13. Finally, add some Lace Fan 1 Gold Peel-Off Stickers down the sides of the patterned paper strips, and below the ‘Thank You’.

Hi everyone,

It’s Frances here again! This time round I thought I would play with one of the stickers from the Jackie’s Dolls 2 Peel-off stickers. I love these elegant images, they are taller than any of the other Peel-off stickers which makes them ideal to use to create tall cards, which is what I have done today.

Here is how I made the card:

1. Cut a piece of white card and a piece of double sided adhesive sheet that is approx 3 inches x 7 inches. Remove the release sheet from one side of the adhesive sheet and set the release sheet shiny side up on your work table. Adhere double sided adhesive sheet to the piece of white card.

2. From the Jackie’s Dolls 2 Peel-Off sticker sheet remove the girl, the hair and the extra skirt. (I also added a few other things to mine as you can see in the photos above. I end up not using them for this card.) Place your stickers sticky side up onto the release sheet that we set aside earlier.

3. Take your white card and place it with the adhesive side facing down onto the release sheet with the Peel-Offs on it. The Peel-Offs will lift from the release sheet and stick to the adhesive on the card stock.

4. Turn your card so the release sheet is now on top. Take off the release sheet and make sure not to touch the images on the adhesive.

5. Cover the adhesive with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and polish with your finger. You can see a video Els created using this technique here. Color your images as desired.

6. Cut out the girl, the hair and extra skirt. Use foam tape and adhere the hair and extra skirt onto the girl.

7. To create the card base cut a piece of bright pink card that measures 7 3/4 inches x 81/2 inches. Score along the 8 1/2 inch side at 4 1/4 inches so you have a folded card which is 7 3/4 inches tall x 4 1/4 inches wide.

8. Layer onto the front of the folded card a piece of lilac card which is 7 1/2 inches by 4 inches.

9. Next layer a piece of designer paper which is 7 1/4 inches x 3 3/4 inches (my designer paper is actually from a 6″ x 6″ paper pad, because I used striped paper it was easy for me to add a little extra at the bottom and you can’t see the join)

10. For the two circles at the top and bottom of my card I used the large accessory circles from the Circle Spiral Pull Card and the Circle Accordion Die. (If you look at my card above the circles aren’t going to be seen towards the center of the card, so to save card I just die cut part of circle and layered and adhered to the base card so the piece missing goes towards the centre. This saves cutting into another sheet of card just for a circle)

11. Cut a piece of white card 2 3/8 inches x 6 1/4 inches. Layer this onto a piece of bright pink card which is 2 5/8 inches x 6 1/2 inches.

12. Attach foam tape to the back of the Girl image we created earlier and adhere this to the center of this panel.

13. Die cut the Happy Birthday Stand Up Helper from bright pink card. Trim down the excess card on each side of the die cut word, leaving a 1/2 inch tail at the bottom. Apply some adhesive to the lower back of the right side of the panel and adhere Happy Birthday to the back so that all you see from the front is the letters not any borders. (This is a quick and easy way of adding one of the Stand Up Word dies to you card).

14. In the top right and bottom left hand corners of this panel, add the middle sized Pink/Silver Glitter Dots. (You can see in the photo above I added these in three rows, offsetting each row so I got a triangle shape.

15. Adhere the finished panel to the folded card.

The inside of the card:

16. Cut a piece of white card that is 3 3/4 inches x 7 1/4 inches. Layer this onto a piece of lilac card which is 4 inches x 7 1/2 inches.

17. Add a strip of designer paper to the bottom of the white card. (Mine is 2 inches wide)

18. Cut out around the negative image left on the Jackie’s Dolls 2 Peel-Off sticker sheet. Remove the outer black sticker that goes around the whole image. Take a piece of Transfer Sheet, remove the protective backing and place this over the negative image. Use a bone folder to help transfer the image to the Transfer Sheet. Next place this Transfer Sheet that now has the negative image where you wish it to go, place down on the card and again use a bone folder to transfer it to your card. (I added a piece of scrap paper over the designer paper so the negative image didn’t go onto that as I was only using part of the negative image).

19. Stamp sentiment onto your card using black ink as per photo above.
